Manuscript Typing:

Manuscript typing and manuscript transcription services are important services to our writer clients. When submitting manuscripts for publication editors expect your manuscript to be presented in a specific format.

Having Pioneer Transcription Services type your manuscript gives you the clean, polished, professional product editors expect and hugely increases your chances of having your manuscript read.

We can work from your handwritten work, your scanned or rough typed draft. We also offer the option of transcribing your audio files. In fact, it is our specialty. This is a very attractive option for those writers who prefer to dictate their work. We can handle all digital audio file types, as well as standard and micro-cassette tapes.

We use The Writer's Digest Guide to Manuscript Formats as our reference guide. We are able to prepare your book manuscript, magazine articles, short stories, poems, plays, movie and TV scripts all to the specifications given in this guide, which is the industry standard.

If confidentiality is important to you, we do have a secure, encrypted file transfer service for transferring documents and audio files. This is also extremely helpful in transferring large files back and forth.

We have an A plus rating with the Better Business Bureau and we are very proud of that.  All of our transcriptionists are based in the United States.  We do not send our work out of the country where it might be more cost effective, but the quality will not be as high as we expect it to be for our customers.

We do ask for a 50 percent deposit, with the balance due on return of the completed project to you. We do accept PayPal (credit card okay without a PayPal account), as well as checks or money orders.

The rate for manuscripts from audio files is $1.75 per audio minute, so you know exactly how much you will pay before even submitting your project to us.  Handwritten manuscripts are a little more difficult to estimate the cost on, but our rate is $5.00 per typed page, based on a double spaced page, 12 point font, and with one inch margins all around on all sides.
